Terri's Doll refurbish

My friend Terri asked me to refurbish a doll that had been given to her by her uncle. The doll was from Germany, purchased in the 1950's. As you can see she needed a bit of work. I filled the cracks with paperclay, sanded and repainted the entire doll. I plucked out her sparse eyelashes and gaver her new ones. I gave her a new head of hair, made her a new dress complete with a pair of bloomers to match and finished her outfit with a cute little pair of 'leather' sandals to match her outfit. Terri hasn't seen her yet as she's away on vacation. Can't wait for her to get home and take a look!

pencil sketches male celebrities

This is how I started out with my artwork....
pencil sketches of famous people....these are
from the '70's....just plain HB pencils.....

Pastel portrait of my cousin Dianne

A pastel Portrait of my cousin Dianne from a photo taken in 1977. The photo had discolored as so many of them did in that era, so I've painted to the tones that they should have been. Isn't she gorgeous! Dianne was a contestant in the Miss Canada Pageant in the mid '70s.

More of my cloth dolls!

These are a couple of dolls I made a few years ago....
One lives with my friend Sam and the other lives with my aunt in Ontario.
Their clothes are one of a kind designed especially for them individually.....check out those boots on the girl in the jumpsuit!

Cheeky Cosmetics on Etsy!

Just want to give a big plug for a fellow Etsian from my hometown! Chantel makes and sells her own mineral make-up! How cool is that?! I've been using Mineral make-up for several years (buying on-line from the States), so I can't wait to run out of what I have so I can try hers! Check out her etsy shop: http://cheekycosmetics.etsy.com
